Software for a repair shop: orders, parts and the history of every car
The car comes in, the mechanic looks at it, something is written on a sheet of paper. Three months later the same car returns and nobody remembers what was changed.
What eats the time
Parts are ordered by phone and written down afterwards — if they are written down. The customer rings to ask whether it is ready. Two jobs get promised for the same day, because the calendar is in the service adviser's head.
What gets built
The work of the shop, recorded once and in its place — from taking the car in to the reminder half a year later.
- A repair order: car by registration number, complaint, work done, parts used, hours.
- The history of the car — what was done, when, with which parts and by whom.
- Parts: stock, orders to the supplier, what went into this particular repair.
- A reminder to the customer for an oil change, roadworthiness test or insurance — on their phone.
- A bay calendar, so two cars are not promised the same slot.
What we do not take on
The till and the fiscal receipt. Software that runs sales in a retail outlet falls under Bulgarian regulation N-18 and has to be on the revenue authority's list — we do not write that. What gets built is the work of the shop; payment stays with the program and the till you already use.
Frequently asked questions
Will it issue fiscal receipts?
No. That requires a program certified under regulation N-18. The order, the parts and the history are here; the receipt stays at the till.
Can we search by registration number?
Yes — that is the main way in. The number brings up the whole history of the car, including from a previous owner, if it has been to you before.
We use a paper book. Will we have to enter everything backwards?
No. You start from today. Old repairs go in only if you have a table that can be imported.
